Welcome to

FISTRAD

FISTRAD is an integrated project that combines advocacy with direct support to our beneficiaries. We have adopted this approach to our work because we believe that in a developing country like Ghana, it is not possible to achieve accelerated community development by relying on government alone to deliver on education and training of the youth.

To this end,  we offer library services that enables the youth to improve their academic work. We also empower young girls to become employable through a 3-year vocational training course in dressmaking and cloth weaving.  An ICT center has also been established to bridge the gap in computer literacy between rural and urban youth. Our advocacy activities in governance and against culturally backward practices is driven by radio. We operate a community radio station which is an effective tool for community education and civic engagement on accountability and good governance practices.

FISTRAD has its own premises made up of Class rooms and equipment  for vocational training  of youth mostly girls, library facilities for children and adults, An ICT center, a Radio station as well as a Guesthouse.
