Peaceful coexistence between Fulbe herdsmen and Builsa community members
The project is supported by STAR-Ghana Foundation under the Security in Northern Ghana(SING) Project funded by the Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office(FCDO). It seeks to promote social cohesion between Fulbe and community members by reducing tensions arising from grazing rights. Public education, community engagement and the creation of community structures to promote peace are the main activities implemented. Another objective of the project is to ensure that terrorist groups do not take advantage of the insecurity in the area to disturb the peace. Since 2021, the project has had two phases with the second phase due to end in March, 2024.
